Thursday January 14, 2010 Airport abuzz with music and shopping POPULAR indie bands and song writers such as Liyana Fizi, Rashdan Harith, Ady Suwardy, Najwa and Pesawat came together in the name of charity to perform at the MAS Touchdown @ Skypark Terminal SAAS Airport recently. The indie concert and charity bazaar was organised by Malaysia Airlines in collaboration with Go International Group (the organiser of Indie Youth Fest 2009) with Skypark as the venue sponsor and Bijou Bazaar as the bazaar management company. Accompanying each of the last four nationwide songwriting competitions, different areas of music studies were sponsored to winners as part of the prizes. Courses offered were short studies at SAE Malaysia (Sound & Audio Engineering), Anne Musikschuller (Vocal), Gsus Ministry (Harmony), Master Piece Ministry (Pianistic Style), Tung Ling Bible School (worship ministry) and etc. Other prizes to the successful candidates included prize money which totalled at MYR$40,000, and recording deal which totalled at MYR$94,000 between years 2005-2008.
