In a press release issued by VIMA, Siva Zaphod Chandran, founder of VIMA and COO of Bite Media said, “...we are super excited to be working with Sony Music Entertainment Malaysia, who have teamed up with us to sign one song deal for the Song Of The Year Category and also to work with us to come up with an 18 track compilation which will feature the best songs of VIMA 2013." At a recent meeting with Sony Music Malaysia, MD Adrian Lai said, "The Heart Ways is a good song with good production quality,".
