At every Doppelganger Indie Picks, we select one local and one foreign artiste to share with you. This month, we are pleased to share two amazing acts; acoustic singer songwriter, Jerome Kugan of Sabah, Malaysia and Santigold of Nigerian and American electro act. If only they were to meet. Magic could happen!


Name: Jerome Kugan 
From: Kota Kinabalu, Sabah (Malaysia) 

JEROME Kugan was born and raised in Sabah, but has lived in Kuala Lumpur since 2000. Over the years, he has made a mark for himself in the arts, entertainment and media industries. He was the media manager for the Annexe at Central Market. Before this, he was the managing editor for KLue and copy editor for Junk magazines. Apart from having a degree in Professional Writing from the University of Canberra, Australia, Kugan is a published poet and self-taught musician. His debut solo album Songs for a Shadow was released in 2008, earning him a Best Pop Vocalist nomination in the Voize Independent Music Awards (Vima) 2009. Santi White (born September 25, 1976), better known by her stage name Santigold (formerly Santogold), is an American songwriter, producer, and pop singer.
