Who is POOVA?
Poova is a Malaysian born singer, songwriter and rookie composer/producer, totally in love with music since she could hear and was knee deep  into singing, writing and composing songs since she could do those too and that was young. Poovas childhood was spent singing with her mother and learning to play guitar and piano, whilst writing songs about her day to day life.

As Poova grew up she began to hook up with other kids who liked music, started bands and performed for family and her school shows, sometimes performing her original songs when she could. As she matured so did her taste in music and strength in both her musical ability and her vocal power. Poova performed with many bands and musicians as well as other singers in Malaysias music scene and she made her presence felt through her increasing improvement, as a singer songwriter but also as an amazingly powerful vocalist and as an engaging entertainer.

In 2009 Poova decided to leave the day to day grind behind to focus on her amazing talents and began the process of writing her first album and so her ballad “Slaves” was born, her song about being tied to the 9 to 5 and dreaming of escape. Poovas songs are all about her real day to day life and experiences and delivered from the depths of her persona. After several tentative shows performing her own material for audiences, she soon lost the desire to perform covers for the masses and instead wanted to deliver a power packed show filled with her own original material and introduce her own brand of soul and rock, fused with Rn’b, blues and electronics to the Malaysian and then the worlds ears.

She’s an amazing singer, songwriter, composer and a pretty hot pianist too, she’s fun, crazy, sexy… and oh yes… about 5 feet 9 inches..

That’s what she’s about….
