Established in 1987 in Kuala Lumpur, PT Foundation (PTF) has come a long way from operating a two-line telephone counseling service out of an apartment on Jalan Alor. The first non-governmental organization (NGO) to carry out HIV/AIDS work in Malaysia, PTF has braved funding droughts, program closures and negative societal attitudes.
In 25 years we have become the leading community-based, non-profit making organization providing information, education and care services relating to HIV/AIDS and sexuality in Malaysia. We work at the grass-roots level and reach out primarily to communities most affected by HIV/AIDS in Kuala Lumpur. Each day we reach out to 200 of the most vulnerable members of society through our drop-in centres. Over the years we have touched the lives of over 60,000 Malaysians.

While we proudly commemorate 25 years this year, we are mindful that the fight against HIV/AIDS is far from overWith the infection rate among Malaysians aged 13-29 increasing each year, and the rising number of women and children getting infected, it is clear that only by JOINING HANDS will we be VICTORIOUS.

Douglas Lim and Kuah Jenhan are two talented young Malaysians who dare to make a difference. Through Laugh Yourself Red, they will use the power of laughter to support us in sustaining and expanding our initiatives which aim to bring about:

Awareness: through Public Events and Advocacy via Media
Attitude Change: through Peer Outreach and distribution of Safe-sex Materials

Behavioural Change: through HIV Screening and Counselling, Peer Education Workshops, Phone   Counselling, Support Groups.

We urge Malaysians from ALL WALKS OF LIFE to put their cares aside, let their hair down and join us for a side-splitting night of laughs in aid of children, women and men infected and infected by HIV/AIDS

BE THE SPARK. START CHANGE.
Come Laugh Yourself Red
