Jaz: So I was at NBT last night to catch Tokyo Blues (go Ywenna! and band) and met legendary songwriter Man Bai. Someone in our group asked if the song 'Kau Ilhamku was written out of passionate yearning for a woman and his answer was a flat no. Just that. I suspect it was written for himself. Sometimes we need to be alone to play with our own shadows. Sometimes we need to fly solo to understand what it means to yearn. It doesn't have to be about anyone. Try this someday when you're alone and in love with the Universe. Place your hand on your heart and just move it clockwise. Think about someone or a precious moment. I swear you'll feel the energy. Like a secret smile returned.
