Here are three artistes who came together one night at a private function in Penang. We all felt very very truly honoured to be in the presence of such a great singer, that we were star struck and forgot to snap a happy shot. Over 3 days, the two girls - Elvira Arul and Dzamira Dzafri visited Penang specially to open for the Laura Fygi concert. 20-year-old pop/folk newcomer, Dzamira Dzafri has been performing in the KL music scene at open mic sessions and gigs for quite a while. She has been often described as a soulful singer with her mature and rich vocals which “exude a kind of mystery”. Dzamira Dzafri has also been featured on national Malaysian TV shows and has also performed alongside other local artists such as Liyana Fizi, Elvira Arul and Zalila Lee. She recently did an opening number for Dutch jazz chanteuse - Laura Fygi at a private concert in Penang's G Hotel.

In this edition of Doppelganger KL Indie Picks, we are so stoked to share with you an artiste who has entertained Malaysians for over 25 years. She hosts TV shows so effortlessly, and a true natural for screen. She released several music singles in between acting in films and television, presenting shows online and for broadcast, radio deejaying and appearing as a talent in commercials.
